A Message from Teresa Brown
20th Chapter President

Welcome to the official website of the Dade County (FL) Chapter of The Links, Incorporated. It is both a privilege and an honor to lead over 40 amazing women and to serve as the 20th president of this chapter. For the past 39 years, the members of the Dade County Chapter have enthusiastically and purposefully served the underserved residents of Miami. Our chapter is one of three in the Miami-Dade County area and one of 82 chapters in the Southern Area of The Links, Incorporated, which includes Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, North Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Georgia, and the Commonwealth of the Bahamas.
Established in 1946, The Links, Incorporated is an international, not-for-profit corporation and one of the nation’s oldest and largest volunteer service organizations. The organization is dedicated to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the cultural and economic survival of African Americans and other individuals of African ancestry.
Since our chapter’s founding in 1986, we have consistently upheld our organization’s tenets through friendship and service. Our community outreach is conducted through five key facets: Services to Youth, National Trends and Services, International Trends and Services, The Arts, and Health and Human Services.
Thank you for visiting our virtual home. I encourage you to check this site frequently for timely updates and impactful information. Please feel free to join us for community events and fundraisers and learn more about how you can get involved through attendance, collaboration, donations, or sponsorships.

Mission

Linked in Friendship
The Dade County Chapter of the Links, Inc. was chartered at the Pavilion Hotel (Intercontinental Hotel) on Sunday, June 1, 1986. The idea was conceived by Jessie Stinson, who enlisted assistance from her two friends DoLores Washington and Geneva Woodard. Together they organized an interest group leading to the establishment of the Dade County (FL) Chapter.
